Puppy Information
Black Raven French Bulldogs take all possible precautions to ensure the health of your puppy. All puppies are checked by a Licensed Veterinarian at birth, four weeks, and eight weeks of age. Both parents have been screened for health issues that are common in French Bulldogs. We do not breed any dog that has not been cleared by a Licensed Veterinarian.
Unfortunately, though these precautions have been taken, it is still possible for puppies to have health issues. Black Raven French Bulldogs will guarantee the health of your puppy against any congenital disorders that may lead to the premature death of the puppy. In the event that your puppy is diagnosed with such a disorder, we ask that you contact us immediately.
Proper documentation from a Licensed Veterinarian regarding the diagnosis of your puppy should be mailed to us as soon as possible. In the event of the death of your puppy with in the first year due to the aforementioned condition, Black Raven French Bulldogs will offer a replacement puppy of similar value. If no puppies are available at that time then we will offer a replacement puppy from an upcoming litter.
Please be assured that the health of your puppy is a high priority to us. We are here to support both the buyer and puppy. No puppy will be sent to their new homes if they show any signs of illness or disease. All puppies will receive a minimum of two puppy vaccinations (Distemper, Hepatitis, Para-influenza, and Parvo-virus) and at least one Bordatella vaccination (kennel cough.) All puppies will be de-wormed for internal parasites at 2,4,6, and 8 weeks of age.
Many health issues can be avoided with preventative care provided by a Licensed Veterinarian. We encourage all owners to find a Licensed Veterinarian before they purchase a puppy. To help with some of the “unforeseen” medical problems that a puppy could incur, Black Raven French Bulldogs will offer one year of paid pet medical insurance. Puppy Health Insurance Offer
To help you with any unexpected vet bills in the first year of your puppy’s life, Black Raven French Bulldogs is offering to pay for one year of Accident/Illness pet insurance from VPI Pet Insurance. When you pick up your puppy, you will be given a brochure with information regarding the insurance and how to sign up.
The puppy buyer must contact VPI Pet Insurance within 30 days of taking possession of the puppy. After the insurance advisor takes down your information, they will ask for payment information. Please give them this number (208) 755-4458. When contacted by VPI Pet Insurance, Black Raven French Bulldogs will pay for the first year of insurance, not to exceed $150.00.
The buyer will have the option to increase benefits once the policy has been set up. After the one year is over, the buyer is responsible for renewing the policy if they wish. Please see the attached brochure and printout for more information regarding this benefit.
